Athens boys, girls sweep tri-meets.

2013 Athens vs. Canton vs. Northeast Bradford TrackCANTON - It was blustery, chilly, and at times flurrying, but the first track and field meet season got in Tuesday.

Athens boys and girls came away with two wins each. The Wildcat boys scored 86.5 points en route to the win while Northeast Bradford had 58.5 and Canton 38.

On the girls' side Athens score 109 while Northeast had 41 and Canton 30.

Starting with the boys it was the Panthers winning the 4x800 relay in 9:03 with a team of Sam Beers, Sam Williams, Curt Jewett and Brandon Devonshire.

In the 110 hurdles Athens' Nick Pane won in 15.5 while Canton's Chris Whitehead was second and Athens' Casey Clark took third.

Wildcat Austin Depew won the 100 in 11.32 while NEB's Isaiah McPherson and Athens' Jake Coyle tied for second at 11.6.

In the shot put Athens' Ryan Kreykenbohm won with a throw of 45-feet, 8-inches. Teammate Dylan Ludlow was second while Canton's Will Unruh took third.

Canton's Emmett Watson won the high jump in six feet with teammate's Jesse Lattimer and Austin Bunner taking second and third.

Depew won the long jump in 19-feet, 3-inches while teammate Casey Clark was second with Lattimer coming in third.

Williams won the 1600 in 4:41 with teammate Tyler Upham second and Athens' Matt Millard third. Pane won the pole vault in 9-feet while Canton's Brendan Cohick was second.

DePew won the triple jump in 39-feet, 1/2-inch. Canton's Theron Binford was second while Clark took third.

Northeast's Colton Snyder won the 400 in 53 seconds followed by Coyle in second and Beers in third. Northeast also won the 4x100 relay in 48.5 with a team of McPherson, Beer, Andrew Jampo and Snyder.

Unruh took the discus in 134-feet, 6 1/2-inches followed by Kreykenbohm and Athens' Tom Shenot in second and third. Pane won the 300 hurdles in 44.2 with Whitehead second and Canton's Austin Dibble third.

Jewett won the 800 in 2:04 with Williams second and Devonshire third. Athens' Tyler Birdsall won the 200 in 24.4 with McPherson second and Athens Kevin Stedge taking third.

Jewett won the 3200 in 10:19.57 with Upham and Millard second and third. Northeast won the 4x400 to sweep the relays in 3:40.4 with a team of Snyder, Jewett, Williams and Devonshire.

Shenot won the javelin in 187-feet, 4-inches while teammate Craig Moore was second and Northeast's Andrew Seeley third.

On the girls' side Athens won the 4x800 relay in 11:52.6 with a foursome of Aubrey Sumner, Lizzy Reid, Abby Shenot and Kirstan Vanderpool.

Northeast Bradford's Lydia Werner won the 100 hurdles in 16.4 with Athens' Connie Kipp and Shaynia Burns second and third.

Wildcat Laura Lockard won the 100 in 12.9 with teammates Kirsten Colegrove and Taylor Cianfoni second and third. Wildcat Alli Vine won the pole vault in 7-feet with Canton's Amber Robinson second.

Werner won the triple jump in 31-feet, 11- 3/4-inches with Athens' Jessica Stevens second and Canton's Cassidy Bellows third.

Athens' Danielle Stopper won the discus in 82-feet, 9 1/2-inches while Canton's Sidney Wheeler was second and Northeast's Teremi Suzuki took third.

Panther Alyssa Turner won the 1600 in 6:09 with Courtney and Vanderpool second and third.

Werner won the high jump in 4-feet, 10-inches with Athens' Taylor Conrad second and Canton's Hanna Guindon took third.

Wildcat Megan Wanck won the shot put in 26-feet, 9 1/2-inches with Stopper second and Athens' Christin Dunkling third.

Lockard won the 400 in 1:02 with Athens' Abby Follet second and Guindon third.

Bellows won the long jump in 14-feet, 2-1/2-inches followed by teammate Grace Wright in second and Athens' Maria Hudock in third.

The Wildcats won the 4x100 relay in 56.2 with a team of Burns, Cianfoni, Conrad and Morgan Malawaski.

Werner won the 300 hurdles in 51.1 with Burns and Kipp second and third. Turner took the 800 in 2:48.9 with Vanderpool and Shenot second and third.

Lockard won the 200 in 27.7 with Colegrove and Conrad second and third.

Stopper won the javelin in 110-feet, 4-inches followed by Turner and Canton's Addie Atherton-Ely in second and third. Courtney won the 3200 in 14:13.62 followed by Panthers Taylor Arnold and Rachel Cooper in second and third.

The Wildcats won the 4x400 relay in 4:37 with a team of Malawaski, Colegrove, Follett and Lockard.
