Sayre's Williams, Athens' Dougherty named NTL POY.

The Valley is home to the 2012/2013 NTL East Players of the Year.

Sayre's Nate Williams was named the boys' basketball Player of the Year while Athens' Monica Dougherty was named the girls' basketball Player of the Year Sunday.

For the boys on the first team with Williams is Athens' Garrett Clark, Canton's Eddie Larcom and Emmett Watson and Towanda's Dave Rodenhizer and Noah Huff.

The second team for boys consists of Athens' Brandon Fauver, Troy's Jed Wright, Wyalusing's Jeremy Allyn, Towanda's Joel Miller and Athens' Luke Wright.

The honorable mention are Wyalusing's Cody Pickett, Canton's Wes Moore, Troy's Evan Polly and Brandon Mattocks and Athens' Robert Fauver.

Towanda's Ryan Napp was named the Coach of the Year.

On the girls' side the first team consists of Sayre's Mollie Robinson, Northeast Bradford's Angelia Laudermilch, Wyalusing's Arielle Kneller and Athens' Christin Dunkling and Danielle Stopper.

The second team consists of Towanda's Kaitlin Hallabuk and Alaina Wickwire, Sayre's Kelly Villanti and Kelsey Young, Northeast Bradford's Calla Martin and Wyalusing's MacKenzie Marple.

The third team consists of Troy's Kelsey Bristol, Sayre's Elyse Skerpon and Adrienne Malorzo, Wyalusing's Kasey DeVoir, Northeast Bradford's Maddy Johnson and Athens' Danielle Dougherty.

The honorable mention are Towanda's Alysha Grimes, Athens' Rachael Donnelly, Northeast Bradford's Alyssa Coon and Lydia Werner, Wyalusing's Veronica Morrison, Savannah Schools and Paighton Martin, Troy's Faith Ceely and Canton's Chelsey Heatley.

Athens' coach Kelly Burkhart is the Coach of the Year.

All-star photos will be on Monday, March 11 at 7 p.m. at Towanda High School.

The senior game will be Tuesday, March 26 at Wellsboro High School, The girls will start at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow at 8 p.m.
