Sullivan County defeated Wyalusing.

WYALUSING — Jessica King had a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead Sullivan County past Wyalusing 54-39 in non-league girls' basketball action Monday.

The Griffins jumped out to a 15-6 first quarter lead en route to a 35-10 halftime lead.

The Rams fought back in the second half, out scoring Sullivan in the fourth quarter 18-7, but found themselves in too deep of a hole.

Stef Kramer added 10 points and six steals while Mykenzie Malacusky netted nine with five steals. Leah Beinlich scored seven with three steals, Alexis Randall and Bethany Beinlich had six points each while Sophia Springman added four. Randall also had three steals.

Sarah Bird had 18 points and four steals to lead Wyalusing while Paige Robinson had five points and seven boards.

Morgan Woodruff added eight points, Emily Champluvier had four points and four assists, Daphne Fassett netted two points while Callie Bennett and Catherine Brown had one point each.

South Williamsport 58, Troy 18

TROY — Roxanne Kingsley had a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds in Troy's season-opening loss Monday.

Marissa Bulkley had four points while Emilie Cole had two points and four rebounds. Rachel Hickock had two points and three rebounds, Shyanna Yaggie had two boards and three assists, Cessily Harding had three steals while Katherine Polakowski added a rebound.

Elmira 75, Owego 34

Kiara Fisher had a triple double to lead the Express to another STAC victory in girls' basketball.

Fisher had 15 points, 11 assists and 13 steals while Morgan Gentile added 21 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double.

Zaria Demember-Shazer had 19 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double while Mariah Gonzalez had 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Elmira will face Corning at home on Friday.
