2014 Mansfield vs. Thomas Edison Boys BasketballELMIRA, N.Y. - Bo Burleigh scored 26 points as Mansfield rolled to a 65-42 win over Edison in Regional One action at the Josh Palmer Fund Tournament on Saturday.

Burleigh was 11-for-15 from the field and had nine boards in the win.

Dayton Wood had 13 points for Mansfield, adding two steals and three boards, and Chandler Correll had 12 points and six boards.

Jarrod Burd had five points for Mansfield and Levi Christman had four points and four boards.

Luke Kelly had four points, three steals and three boards and Bryce Zaparzynski had two points and three steals, while Brock Burleigh had two points and three boards.

Kevin Harmer led Edison with 16 and Josh Cosgrove had 12.

The Tigers advance to Tuesday's final where they will take on Notre Dame.

Notre Dame 51, Susquehanna Valley 43

The Crusaders rallied for the win on Saturday, outscoring Susquehanna Valley 23-13 in the fourth to pick up the victory.

The game was tied at 14 after one quarter and tied at 20 at the half, before Susquehanna Valley went up 30-28 after three quarters, before Notre Dame came back in the fourth.

Darius Garvin led Notre Dame with 23 points and six boards and two assists and Patrick Brown had seven points and six rebounds, with three steals.

Tarryl Garner had six points and five boards for Notre Dame and Parker May had five points, seven rebounds and two steals.

Derrick Stark had four points and Kyle Minchin also had four points, while Joe Prunier had two points in the win.

Austin Haskell led Susquehanna Valley with 15 and Jarod Waltkaavicz had 11 points.


Johnson City 63, Athens 52

Athens fought back from a 33-25 halftime deficit and had the game tied at 48 in the fourth, when Johnson City went on a 8-0 run to seal the win.

Brandon Fauver led Athens with 24 points, going 8-for-14 from the field and Austin Lister had nine points and nine boards, with three steals and three blocked shots.

Joe Moyer had eight points and 11 boards and Daniel Joyce had seven points and five rebounds for Athens.

Tyler Forbes had three points and three rebounds and Aaron Barry had one point.

Patrick Garey had 21 points and six boards to lead Johnson City.

Newfield 64, Troy 31

Newfield outscored the Trojans 31-10 in the second and fourth quarters of the victory on Saturday.

Brandon Mattocks led the Trojans with 16 points and he added three assists and Jared Murray had 11 points in the game.

Kurtis Roupp, Sean Mosher and Alex Butcher each had two points for Troy and Jordan Nelson finished with one point.

Mosher and Butcher each had five boards and Butcher blocked two shots.

Newfield was led by DeKhari Stewart with 19 points and 21 boards, with three blocks, and Cole Banfield had 13 points and 11 boards, while Quintel Clemens had 12 points and nine boards.


Mansfield 63, Elmira 34

The Tigers outscored Elmira 32-11 in the second half of the win on Saturday.

Ali Hillson led Mansfield with 18 points and Alysa Davey-Bostic had 14 points and eight boards, with three assists and two steals.

Mariah Berguson had 11 points for Mansfield and Kaitlyn Garverick had 10 points and 12 boards.

Sara Wolbert had six points for Mansfield with four boards and Kristina Buchanan had three points, while Avery Montefusco had one point.

Elmira was led by Zaria Thomas with eight points.

Seton Catholic 40, Notre Dame 26

Seton Catholic limited the Crusaders to 10 first-half points in the win.

Mary Foster led Notre Dame with a double-double, scoring 12 points with 10 boards and Mia Herlan had eight points and eight rebounds.

Arianna Bulkley, Kaylyn Curran and Sarah Watts all had two points in the game.

Watts had five boards and two assists for Notre Dame and Curran had two steals.

Hanna Strawn led Seton Catholic with 11 points and five steals.
