2014 Towanda vs. Williamson Boys TennisTOWANDA - Towanda swept Williamson in an NTL boys' tennis double-header Monday.

The Black Knights won the first match 5-0, taking all the singles.

At first singles David Rodenhizer beat Henry Meinstereifel 6-0, 6-0, at second singles Kevin Blackman won over Chase Buck 6-1, 6-3, at third singles Christian Thomason beat Robby Satterly 6-0, 6-2, Dawson Wright won over Kevin Newcomb 6-1, 6-2 and Matt McNeal defeated Ian Morgan 6-0, 6-0.

The Black Knights then took the second match 6-1.

Rodenhizer defeated Meinstereifel 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, Blackman beat Buck 6-3, 6-4 at second singles, Wright defeated Newcomb 6-0, 6-0 at third singles and Thomason won over Morgan 6-0, 6-0 at fourth singles.

Williamson's Matt Miller beat Anthony Vogel 6-4, 6-5 at fifth singles for the lone Warrior win.

At first doubles Rodenhizer and McNeal won over Meinstereifel and Newcomb 6-0, 6-0 while at second doubles Thomason and Logan Spencer defeated Miller and Dylan Abbey 6-0, 6-0.

In an exhibition match McNeal defeated Caleb Ransom 6-0, 6-0.

The two victories pushes Towanda to 6-2 on the year.

They host Wellsboro today.

Galeton 7, Liberty 0

The Tigers remained undefeatd on the season as they improved to 6-0 with their win over the Mountaineers in boys' tennis action Monday.

At first singles Dakota Shadle beat Andrew Nadas 6-4, 6-0, at second singles Tyler Dugan won over Eric Kreger 6-0, 6-0, at third singles Mitchell Smith beat Chuck DeWalt 6-0, 6-0, at fourth singles David Regis defeated Ricky Pike 6-0, 6-1 and at fifth singles Jacob Batterson swept Hunter Drayer 6-0, 6-0.

At first doubles the Galeton duo of Shadle and Dugan beat Nadas and Pat Ross 6-0, 6-0 while at second doubles Smith and Eli Trember beat Liberty's DeWalt and Pike 6-0, 6-0.

In exhibition action Galeton's John Parsell won over Kreger 6-2, 6-0 while in doubles Galeton's Devin Hager and Cooper Sunderlin defeated Drayer and Tyler Repard 6-2.

Galeton will travel to St. John Neumann today with a 4 p.m. start, then host Towanda Wednesday and Wellsboro Thursday.

The Indians picked up an NTL boys' tennis win in a rain shortened match Monday.

CV took four of the five singles matches.

However, Wellsboro won first singles with Aaron Dillman beating Chandler Mastin 6-1, 6-2.

CV's Brian Fulmer won over Tyler Kennedy 6-2, 5-7, 6-0 at second singles, Indian Cameron Lewis beat Tyler Chamberlain 6-1, 6-1 at third singles, CV's Skyler Schmidt beat Zeke Kitchen 6-0, 6-1 at fourth singles and CV's Nathan Pickering won at fifth singles 6-0, 6-2.

Neither doubles match finished.

At first doubles CV's Mastin and Fulmer was leading Dillman and Kennedy 1-0 while at second doubles Lewis and Schmidt was beating Chamberlain and Kitchen 6-2.

The Indians improve to 10-1 while Wellsboro falls to 0-4.
