2014 Williamson Volleyball TournamentWILLIAMSON - Coudersport brought home the team title at the Williamson Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, defeating Galeton in the final.

In the final Coudersport beat Galeton 25-16, 25-15.

Coudersport beat Northern Potter in the quarterfinals 25-14 and CV in the semifinals 25-18, 25-20.

Galeton defeated Canton in the quarterfinals 25-19 and they defeated Williamson in the semifinals 25-20, 25-22.

Williamson defeated NEB in the quarterfinals 25-16 and CV beat Sayre in the quarterfinals 25-9.

In pool play Sayre was 3-3, falling to Williamson 18-25, 18-25, splitting with Northern Potter 25-20 and 11-25 and beating Galeton 25-23, 25-18.

Williamson beat Sayre, split with Northern Potter 25-18, 21-25, and Galeton 21-25, 25-12.

Galeton lost to Sayre, split with Williamson and beat Northern Potter 25-13, 25-17.

Canton fell to Coudersport in pool play 17-25, 22-25 and beat CV 27-26, 25-12 and NEB 25-12, 25-15 as they went 4-2 in pool play.

Coudersport was 5-1 in pool play, beating Canton, splitting with CV 22-25, 25-13 and beating NEB 25-12, 27-25.

CV was 3-3 in pool play falling to Canton and splitting with Coudy and beating NEB 25-22, 25-18.

NEB was 0-6 in pool play.

Canton got 22 points, four aces, 16 digs and 21 assists from Maggy Machmer and Katie Henson had nine points, 12 kills, 23 digs and two aces.

Abby Herman had 21 points, nine kills and an ace, Trisha Brown had eight points, 11 digs and two aces and Cheyenne Fromille had five points, 15 digs and four aces.

Sammy Deljanovan had 16 digs and 10 assists, Abi Martin had seven kills and Mackayla Wesneski had eight kills.

Andi Noldy had 16 points, 10 digs and 10 assists and Molly Ball had 14 points, six kills and six digs for Sayre.

Kassie Winters had 17 digs and 12 points and Caitlyn Garrity had 21 points and nine digs.

Dominique Woodruff had 12 digs and Emily Garrity had 10 points.

Kaeli Sutryk had 11 digs and Paige Wampole had 11 opints, five digs, four kills and two blocks.

The Black Knights won three straight games to rally for the win on Saturday night.

Kayla Brown had 16 points, a kill, a block, 36 assists and 11 digs and Kayla Grimes had 16 points, six kills and 18 digs.

Elizabeth Schultz had 12 points, 19 kills and 22 digs and Sarah Dawsey had 10 points, five kills, a block and 16 digs.

Jayde Parsons had 21 digs, Kendra Abrams had two points, seven blocks, six kills and two digs and Shelby Coolbaugh had a point, a block and six digs, while Tara Welliver had four points, seven kills, six blocks and three digs.

Towanda won the JV match 25-18, 28-26.

Ally Tama had eight points, three kills, a block and eight assists, Becca Goodenow had six points and a kill and Riley Pepper had five points.

Brooke Williams and Rachel Bair each had a kill, Blair Wood had three points and a kill and Alex Gannon had three points.

Justine Vargason had two points, Mariah Calaman and Madi Doss each had a point and a kill and Alison Cole had five kills and a block.

Towanda is at Elmira on Monday.
